Docents reads business reports you upload (spreadsheets, documents, PDFs, or SQL schemas) and automatically extracts a data dictionary — field names, inferred types, and plain-language descriptions — flagging where two reports define the same field differently.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You're responsible for what you upload — see "Acceptable use" below.

• Only upload content you have the right to upload and process. Uploaded reports are sent to our AI provider's API for field extraction — see the Privacy Statement for how that data is handled.
• We recommend using anonymized, demo, or structure-only data wherever possible, especially for anything containing personal, financial, or otherwise sensitive information.
• Don't use Docents to process content you don't have the legal right to process, or in a way that violates any applicable law.

• Free includes 10 reports per calendar month, at no cost.
• Starter and Professional are monthly subscriptions that unlock file formats, larger file sizes, and export options — the subscription itself doesn't include any reports. Report volume comes from report packs ($99 for 50 reports), purchased separately and consumed first-in-first-out. Packs don't expire while you're subscribed.
• Your first checkout on a paid plan requires purchasing at least one report pack — you can buy more than one, and buy additional packs later.
• Switching from Starter to Professional applies immediately, with a pro-rated charge for the rest of the current billing period. Switching from Professional to Starter takes effect at the start of your next billing period — you keep Professional's features through the period you've already paid for.

Canceling a paid subscription stops future billing — it does not end your access immediately. Your account keeps full access and all its data through the end of the period you've already paid for. You can undo a cancellation at any time before that period ends. Once it ends without renewing, your account — all uploaded files, extracted data, and organization records — is permanently deleted, along with a pro-rated refund of any unused reports in your report packs.

If you'd rather not wait, "Delete my account & data" in Account cancels your subscription and deletes everything immediately instead, with the same pro-rated pack refund. A Free account can be deleted the same way, any time — there's nothing to refund since Free has no charges.

Docents infers field types and meanings automatically — it's a starting point for your own review, not a guarantee of accuracy. Always verify extracted results before relying on them for anything consequential. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
